Quantity Surveyor | High End Projects | Cambridgeshire

A fantastic high end construction company are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Based in their Cambridgeshire office, the role will be overseeing 2 high end new build housing projects working alongside the Commercial Director. There is genuine progression within the business for a Quantity Surveyor alongside working on outstanding projects.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of subcontract and supplier packages.
  • Monitor project expenditure and ensure that costs are controlled effectively throughout the project duration.
  • Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
  • Perform regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers

Qualifications

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is not essential
  • Proven experience in the residential construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost management and reporting.
