Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in mechanical & electrical (M&E), fire protection, or security systems projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering high-value projects across infrastructure, transport, and critical environments throughout the UK and Ireland.With a proven track record spanning over 40 years, this growing specialist contractor is expanding and looking for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support projects from inception to final account.
?? Key Responsibilities- Manage financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects
- Liaise with operational teams and clients to ensure cost control
- Prepare and manage interim valuations and final accounts
- Assess and negotiate subcontractor applications
- Monitor cost forecasts, CVRs, and project cashflows
- Oversee contract variations and risk management
- Support final account settlements and contract close-out
- 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, building services, fire & security, or M&E
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC3/NEC4 contracts
- Familiarity with CDM regulations and industry best practices
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- A background in building services, fire systems, security systems, or technical infrastructure projects
- The ability to manage costs proactively and collaborate across departments
- Experience producing CVRs and managing P&L accounts
