A dynamic and forward-thinking construction consultancy is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking long-term progression in a collaborative and sustainability-driven environment.

The Quantity Surveyor

This East Midlands-based SME has an expanding national presence and delivers a wide range of projects across the public and private sectors, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and positive social impact. The successful Quantity Surveyor will join an established cost management team and play a key role in supporting projects from early feasibility through to completion.

The Quantity Surveyor will work across a broad portfolio, including education, local authority, mixed-use and regeneration schemes, with exposure to wider project and contract management responsibilities. This is an ideal position for a Quantity Surveyor with approximately 2+ years' experience in a consultancy environment and a desire to broaden their skillset within a multidisciplinary setting.

Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:

  • Producing cost plans, BOQs, valuations, and final accounts
  • Supporting projects from inception to completion
  • Assisting with Contract Administration and Project Management
  • Working closely with clients and internal teams
  • Supporting life cycle costing and sustainability-led initiatives
  • Managing multiple projects and contributing to business development

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts preferred
  • Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience with public sector/local authority projects advantageous
  • Interest in sustainability, MEP, or life cycle costing is a plus
  • Working towards MRICS or similar professional qualification desirable
