Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Workshop Maintenance Operative based at their Nottingham depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive team, playing a key role in maintaining a range of equipment, including fleet vehicles, accommodation units, and welfare vans. Your contribution will ensure all products are ready for use, helping to deliver excellent service and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and refurbishment of accommodation units, welfare vans, and other equipment efficiently.

  • Identify and report any damage or repair needs to your supervisor to ensure issues are recorded and addressed.

  • Maintain stock levels of materials such as timber, lino, and boarding.

  • Fit sink units, internal partition kits, replace wall boards, and perform minor plumbing and electrical work.

  • Salvage and reuse materials where possible after unit hire.

  • Carry out painting tasks on accommodation units (training provided).

  • Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained, tested, and securely stored.

  • Clean and prepare accommodation units and vans for use.

About You

  • Experience in a similar role or industry is desirable.

  • Forklift license is a plus but not essential (training provided).

  • MPBA testing qualification is desirable, with full training available after probation.

  • Plumbing and electrical training/qualifications are advantageous.

  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.

  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work overtime when required.

  • Committed to following all health and safety practices.
