We are looking to recruit an experienced packaging machinery or product handling solutions salesperson to cover 1/2 the country (you can live anywhere in England as its home based) with excellent benefits package and genuine prospects for career progression.
BASIC SALARY: up to £55,000

LOCATION: Home based covering either Northern or Southern England depending on where you live and whether you have covered the North or South previously.
You will be required in the office once per week initially, and then twice a month once established.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager - Packaging Machinery
This is a classic area sales role covering half the country either North or South depending on where you live and the area you have covered before. A mix of existing account management and new business with a very realistic and achievable 1st year target and with lots of internal sales support in place.
You will be selling a range of high quality end of line packaging machinery (AOV £50,000) & associated flexible packaging consumables mainly to the non-food manufacturing markets. The company are very strong in the E Commerce sector.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager - Packaging Machinery
· You WILL have a proven track record in sales of packaging machinery or similar high value product handling solutions and will have sold to the manufacturing & distribution sectors.
· The company will however consider someone who has sold packaging machinery into the food market who wants a change.
· You will have a technical background and ideally an engineering background.
THE COMPANY:
Working for the well established UK Sales & Service office for a privately owned European manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery and associated flexible packaging consumables.
The company have recently won a prestigious major account which will see the company grow by 50% in the next year and allowing them to invest in recruiting a senior sales person to work alongside the Sales Director (who currently covers the whole UK), new premises in the next 12 months and the very strong internal sales team.
I have recruited successfully for them before and have known the Sales Director for over 15 years so I can say its a great place to work with a really good benefits package too.
PROSPECTS:
The Sales Director is looking at long term succession and success in this role could lead to managing a sales team and eventually the UK office.
