We are an alternative provision in Nottingham, providing tailored educational support to young people who may need additional help in reaching their full academic potential. Our goal is to ensure every student has the chance to succeed and develop essential skills for life, work, and further education.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality Maths tuition to students, primarily focusing on Functional Skills (Level 1 & 2). The role involves working with small groups of learners, building their confidence in numeracy, and helping them achieve their qualification goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and structured Functional Skills Maths lessons (Level 1 & 2).

Assess students' individual needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Provide tailored support and resources to help students progress.

Track and monitor students' progress, offering constructive feedback.

Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths or equivalent.

A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy and patience when working with students who may face additional challenges.

Enhanced DBS check (we can support the process if needed).
