Python Developer | Nottingham | Hybrid (3 days a week in) | Up to £85K

The Opportunity

As a Senior Python Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and deploying backend features that power the company's core platforms. Working primarily with Python and Django, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, maintainable solutions that support the business's mission to accelerate the shift to renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using Python and Django
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and system design, including microservices
  • Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions
  • Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and documentation
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • Proven commercial experience with Python and Django
  • Strong understanding of scalable application design and API development
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native development
  • Experience with microservices architecture is highly desirable
  • Passion for clean energy and solving complex problems with technology
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with modern delivery practices
