A specialist Nottingham setting is seeking dedicated, patient and skilled Teaching Assistants to join their team, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and a range of additional needs. About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will work with pupils across a range of ages who present with communication differences, sensory needs, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges. The role involves:

Providing consistent 1:1 or small-group support

Implementing structured routines, visual supports and ASD-friendly approaches

Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

Facilitating communication using appropriate methods (e.g., PECS, visuals, AAC)

Assisting pupils with accessing learning both inside and outside the classroom

Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team

Has experience supporting children or young people with Autism, ADHD and other complex needs

Can remain calm, patient and solution-focused in challenging situations

Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Understands sensory processing differences and the importance of personalised strategies

Communicates effectively with staff, pupils and families
