The Supply Register are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join one of our friendly and supportive primary schools based in Nottingham (NG5) to start from Janaurary on a long term basis 3 days per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for ensuring every child reaches their full potential and who can bring significant expertise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate provision for children with SEND across the school.
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all SEND practice.
- Oversee SEND records, paperwork, and referrals.
- Support staff with strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has significant experience working with children with SEND.
- Possesses a strong knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- Ideally has experience with SEND paperwork, referrals, and liaising with outside professionals.
- SENCO qualification preferred, but experienced applicants without will be considered.
- Is organised, approachable, and committed to inclusion.
