An independent food manufacturer in the Vale of Belvoir (close to Grantham) are looking for a multi skilled Maintenance Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to join a profitable, stable and growing business who continue to invest heavily in their brand, site and people.

You will be managing a small team of 4 people and will mostly be carrying out management responsibilities, but there is also the requirement to jump on the tools to support if needed. Ideally seeking an engineer with electrical knowledge / skills for maintenance support when required.

Role:

  • Multi skilled Maintenance Supervisor
  • Mon to Fri Days (approx. 8.30am – 5pm) (plus the odd Saturday shift in peak production time)
  • Will suit engineers who live in Grantham, Newark or east of Nottingham area

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Organise and manage team to ensure that high quality production output is achieved through effective maintenance
  • Use preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime
  • Enforce site rules and procedures at all times
  • Work with Production Dept to achieve daily / weekly targets
  • Undertake small projects when required
  • Develop and evaluate Maintenance Service Contracts where needed
  • Develop cost reduction initiatives for the department
  • Communicate malfunctions to relevant people or departments.

Experience and skills required of Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Min 2 years experience leading a team
  • Multi skilled, mechanical and electrical skills / experience. (ideally electrically biased)
  • Apprenticeship trained.
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production.
  • Food manufacturing experience would be very advantageous.
