This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Finance Assistant to join a growing wholesale distributor in Nuneaton. The role involves supporting the accounting and finance department with key financial tasks and gaining valuable industry experience.

Client Details

A large UK-based distributor supplies a wide range of industrial and workshop consumables.

Description

  • Support the day-to-day processing of supplier invoices, ensuring all payments have the necessary approvals before submission.
  • Assist in making sure suppliers are paid within agreed terms, preparing reports and BACS files for review and authorisation by the Finance Manager or Management Accountant.
  • Carry out monthly reconciliations between the company's purchase ledger and supplier statements.
  • Address and resolve supplier queries promptly and effectively.
  • Work to resolve all overdue debtor accounts within set timeframes
  • Ensure customer and branch queries relating to the Sales Ledger are handled efficiently and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide support with the preparation of month-end accounts.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

Profile

A successful Finance Junior should have:

  • A basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
