Job description:

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be able to translate engineering drawings into precise machine instructions. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient fabrication of components while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Creating, editing and proving CNC programmes
  • Setting and operating CNC Milling machines
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate components using CNC mills.
  • Utilise CAD software, such as SolidWorks, to create and modify programmes as required.
  • Conduct tooling selection and setup, ensuring the correct tools are used for each job.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all safety protocols related to materials handling and equipment use.

Experience

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Competence in basic maths for precise measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience in using hand tools and materials handling within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
