Paraplanner (Our Ref AL1369)

Nuneaton (hybrid, min 3 days in office per week)

Salary: to £45,000 per annum dep on experience + benefits

My client is one of the UK's leading wealth management firms, recognised for investment performance and client service and they now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team. The Paraplanner is responsible for providing technical support to financial consultants and administration staff. The individual will also create and compile investment reports for new and existing clients, and undertake research.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Check all compliance paperwork is present and in order
  • Check Factfind has been fully completed
  • Confirm client risk profile is determined
  • Discuss client objectives with Adviser
  • Ensure file is clear and the advice meets the client objectives/risk appetite
  • Ensure advice is within product panel and investment committee parameters
  • Ensure financial cashflow forecast parameters and information input is correct
  • Grade the overall file
  • Identify areas for planning
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Adviser to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs
  • Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by the Adviser e.g. on FE and charges
  • Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
  • Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
  • Complete cashflow modelling to be discussed/signed off by Adviser
  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
  • Complete/help admin with application/proposal forms where necessary
  • Complete transfer checklists from information provided following LOAs
  • Report to/ support Paraplanning Manager
  • Assist with company projects where necessary
  • Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Diploma level in Regulated Financial Planning, and either Chartered or working towards being Chartered
  • Demonstrable experience of writing Suitability Reports
  • Demonstrable technical paraplanning knowledge and ability to calculate complex financial calculations
  • Working knowledge of Intelligent Office along with IO Planning and FE Analytics advantageous
  • Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
