Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teaching Assistant (SEND), you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of children with autism. Working closely with experienced educators and specialists, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to students with autism, including assistance with academic tasks, social skills development, and behavior management.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement personalized learning plans and accommodations for students with diverse needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported.
Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet the specific needs of students with autism.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on a regular basis.
Promote independence and self-confidence in students by encouraging participation in classroom activities and fostering a growth mindset.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with autism or special educational needs is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their holistic development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may have complex needs or challenging behaviors.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education are advantageous but not essential.
