A National Award Winning Housing Developer is looking to expand their team in the West Midlands.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a new build housing development in Nuneaton. The successful candidate will be offered a personalised training and development programme from day one and the opportunity to fast track to Site Manager within 12-18 months.
Job Duties:- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the construction site and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople on site
- Monitor progress and quality of workmanship to ensure project milestones are met
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, site inductions, and health and safety records
- Manage site logistics and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- First Aid certification
- Valid Driving Licence
- Scaffold qualification
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager
- Additional health and safety certifications
The role involves working on a construction site, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands. Regular travel between sites within the West Midlands region is required.
