About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Nuneaton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them both in and out of the classroom to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of pupils with a range of SEN (including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties)
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
Assist with personal care needs if required
Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to staff and parents/carers
Promote inclusion and encourage pupils to engage in all aspects of school life
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, caring and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and behavioural needs
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
