Our business has grown significantly over the last 18 years, we have become a multi-award-winning operation, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of employees, working across 3 (soon to be 4!) retail locations. Our delis are packed with a large selection of handmade pies, cooked meats, scotch eggs, olives and charcuterie. Our cheese counters are stocked with local, national and internationally sourced cheeses from only the finest producers. Our traditionally trained Butchers serve only the finest cuts of beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game. Our customers really are spoilt for choice! Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Butchery Assistant to join the established team of Butchers and Deli Assistants. This role is a new role within the team, created to afford the skilled butchers more time to practice their craft - with the postholder taking greater responsibility for serving customers and assisting with the production of the added value range. As a Butchery Assistant at Hambleton Farms, you will:

Work with the Butchery and Deli teams to set the store up on a daily basis.
Assist in making our seasonal range of ‘meal solutions’.
Deliver an outstanding experience to all customers.
Ensure self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable
Practice necessary due diligence – health and safety, food safety etc.

At Hambleton Farms, we’re looking for a Butchery Assistant with the following attributes:

A passion for food
Excellent customer service and sales skills
Good communication skills at all levels
Honest, reliable and dedicated
Previous experience in a Retail, Counter Assistant, Customer Service, Retail Assistant, Cook or Chef role would be advantageous.

This is a full-time role working 47.5 hours per week: 08.30 – 17.30 (30-minute lunch) with 1 day off at the weekend and 1 in the week. In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate in the region of £8.60-£13.50.
