Are you a graduate with a passion for laboratory work? We're looking for a motivated  and methodical individual to join our clients team as a Laboratory Technician. This full-time, permanent role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic  and supportive environment, with full training provided.

This will be working on a 4 week rota basis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and testing of samples eg oil, lubricants, fuels etc
  • Carrying out quality control checks and interpreting test results
  • Checking test results and checking subsequent reports prior to client submission
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the laboratory
  • Washing laboratory glassware and preparing solvents, control, and  calibration samples
  • Safe disposal of used oil samples
  • Occasional client liaison
  • Supporting laboratory operations outside standard hours when necessary

Note: Some tasks may involve manual lifting or use of a respirator.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree within a scientific discipline e.g Chemistry or Biochemistry or similar
  • Previous laboratory experience in a working/education environment preferred
  • Methodical and detail-oriented working style
  • Good standard of mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Accurate data recording
  • Comfortable working under deadlines and as part of a team
  • Willingness to support operations outside regular working hours if required
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to lab success
  • Computer literate
