Key Responsibilities
• Design & Analysis: Develop and assess civil and structural designs, including
reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Site Inspections: Conduct surveys and inspections of structural assets to
ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Technical Support: Prepare technical scopes and specifications; oversee
fabrication and construction processes.
• Client Liaison: Act as the _intelligent customer_ in support of subcontracts,
ensuring quality and adherence to design intent.
• Project Involvement: Engage in projects related to nuclear infrastructure, life
extension of facilities, and through-life maintenance.
Essential Experience & Skills
• Demonstrable technical background in design and analysis
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound understanding of engineering design principles, both theoretical and
practical
• Willingness to adapt and learn
• Knowledge of building and civil engineering standards and procedures
• Experience in maintenance management and diving procedures (specific to
Faslane role)
