Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse collision data to identify trends and risk factors
- Implement speed management initiatives to improve road safety
- Conduct safety reviews of highway design proposals
- Undertake Road Safety Audits in accordance with GG119
- Manage road safety schemes and provide expert advice to colleagues and external partners
- Review applications for changes to highway operations and speed limits
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external organisations
- Promote safe, healthy, and sustainable travel for all road users
Job Requirements:
- Experience in road safety engineering, including collision data analysis
- Knowledge and appreciation of the Safe Systems approach to road safety
- Qualified to undertake Road Safety Audits as per GG119 standards
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise workloads effectively
- Customer-focused approach to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of highway design standards and guidelines for safe solutions
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
