Flood Risk and Environmental Consultant- Remote Working and Compressed Hours

Are you an experienced Environmental Consultant with a passion for flood risk and environmental impact assessments? Join a market-leading UK-based Environmental Consultancy that is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for a sustainable future. We are seeking a Flood Risk and Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team of Engineers and Consultants. This is a fully remote role, offering flexible and reduced working hours to suit your lifestyle.

Responsibilities
As a Flood Risk and Environmental Consultant, you will work with Local Authorities, Water Companies, Private Sector Clients, and Housing Developers on diverse projects. You will be expected to complete;

  • Varied residential, commercial and renewable energy projects (wind farms, solar and battery storage).
  • Conduct Flood Risk Assessments for a variety of projects.
  • Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and prepare Environmental Statements, particularly for renewable energy projects such as wind farms, solar farms, and battery storage.
  • Undertake EIA Screening and EIA Scoping activities.
  • Manage EIA projects, including tracking project development with support from senior team members.
  • Engage with clients through meetings to discuss project progress and development.

You will be required to have the following;

  • A BSc or MSc in a related discipline such as Geography, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management.
  • Proven experience working for a UK-based consultancy, with expertise in Flood Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments or Environmental Permitting.
  • A strong interest in EIA Scoping and EIA Screening.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
