Let’s keep this simple.
You’re an Engineer. You know what that means- fixing things, improving things, and keeping everything running smoothly, safely and efficiently.
We’re looking for someone who’s electrically biased, but still handy with a spanner. Someone who can get stuck into breakdowns, stay on top of planned maintenance, and doesn’t mind getting a bit hands-on when things get tricky.
If you’ve worked in a manufacturing environment, you’ll know the pace. No two days are the same. But if you like solving problems and staying ahead of the game, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Providing day-to-day engineering support on-site
-
Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical issues
-
Carrying out planned maintenance (the kind that prevents breakdowns- not just ticking boxes)
-
Accurately recording work, parts used, and root causes
-
Getting involved in continuous improvement projects to help the site run better
-
Staying sharp on health and safety and following engineering best practice
What we’re looking for:
-
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
-
Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
-
Strong electrical fault-finding and analysis skills
-
A flexible, proactive attitude- and a willingness to get stuck in
-
Good communicator, both written and verbal
-
Detail-oriented and methodical in your work
What you’ll get:
-
£40,000 - £44,000 base salary
-
Overtime at time and a half - one Sat morning in 4. Adding an extra £2000, minimum.
-
25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
-
Enhanced sick pay
-
Death in service cover
-
Company pension (with employer contributions)
-
Proper training and genuine progression opportunities
