A Bristol-based engineering team is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take a leading role in projects and help develop a team of talented engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to contribute to complex projects, mentor junior staff, and influence the direction and growth of the geotechnical team.

In this role, you will work on a variety of projects of differing scale and complexity, providing technical leadership and expertise in geotechnical design and ground investigations. You will be responsible for planning and preparing Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports, producing geotechnical analysis reports and risk assessments, and providing solutions for slope stability and retaining structures.

Additional responsibilities include leading ground investigations, mentoring and developing junior engineers, contributing to financial planning, preparing tenders, and acting as a key representative of the Bristol team to clients and stakeholders. This position offers a clear path toward leadership and provides the opportunity to shape the culture and technical excellence of the team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant geotechnical or civil engineering degree
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reside within a commutable distance of Bristol
  • 7+ years of geotechnical industry experience
