Are you a skilled and people-focused Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? Our client, a long-established and growing painting and refurbishment contractor, is looking to recruit a driven Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving Bristol team.

You'll be part of a supportive and successful commercial and operational unit, working on a mix of cyclical painting contracts, property refurbishments, and planned maintenance projects across housing, education, defence, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tendering, estimating, and on-site measurement of works
  • Prepare cost estimates and contract reconciliations
  • Support productivity planning and direct labour incentives
  • Work closely with Contracts Managers and site teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Monitor site performance reports covering cost, labour, value, quality, and safety

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (preferably in painting, refurbishment, or property services)
  • Comfortable managing projects or frameworks up to 2 million annually
  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for opportunities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Confident working with Schedule of Rates (SORs)
  • Organised, analytical, and team-oriented
  • Driven by values such as honesty, integrity, and accountability
