You know those jobs where you're just reacting to chaos all day? This isn’t that (at least, not most of the time).

We’re looking for a practical, sleeves-rolled-up Engineering Supervisor to support the Engineering Manager and lead a team of engineers on a busy manufacturing site. It’s a hands-on leadership role—equal parts people, process, and problem-solving.

You’ll be the person engineers turn to when the plant goes down. The one who keeps the PPM running on time, the breakdowns under control, and the Engineering Manager sane.

This is a great opportunity for a Multiskilled / Senior / Lead engineer to step up into a more leadership role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Running the day-to-day of the engineering team and keeping maintenance efficient

  • Coaching engineers during breakdowns and overseeing time-critical repairs

  • Leading PPM schedules and driving plant reliability

  • Managing contractors, tools, and the odd fire drill (figuratively and literally)

  • Improving site standards around safety, hygiene, and compliance

  • Reporting on performance, KPIs, and making the department sharper all-round

  • Acting as second-in-command to the Engineering Manager and stepping up when needed

What You'll Need:

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Engineering qualifications (mechanical, electrical, or both)

  • Solid understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance, CI, and audits

  • The ability to coach a team, liaise with production, and still get your hands dirty

  • A bit of diplomacy – you’ll be juggling priorities between ops, engineers, and contractors

If you’ve got the toolkit and the temperament to lead a team without losing your cool (or your spanner), this one’s for you.

Apply now – and let’s have a proper conversation.
