About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join a well-established and friendly school in Oldbury. This full-time position involves supporting a wide range of school administrative functions essential to the smooth running of daily operations.

An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this role, and candidates must provide evidence before starting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update pupil records accurately using school management systems such as Arbor and CPOMS.
  • Manage attendance registers, monitor absences, and follow up on unexplained absences in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Enter and track course certificates and other training documentation on spreadsheets and school databases.
  • Support safeguarding compliance by ensuring all records and documentation are current and properly filed.
  • Assist with the organisation and coordination of school events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Support the management of school policies and procedures, including updating relevant documentation as required.
  • Monitor and maintain electronic systems related to school security, such as the alarm system linked to classrooms.
  • Communicate with parents, carers, and staff regarding administrative matters via phone and email.
  • Provide general administrative support including preparing letters, reports, and other documentation using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and record-keeping to ensure the school’s administrative processes run efficiently.
  • Support other departments with administrative tasks as required.
