We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Account Manager to join my client's sales team. As a key point of contact for customers, you will handle enquiries regarding products, orders, and deliveries, ensuring a smooth and efficient service. Your contribution will help maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and support the achievement of sales targets.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently via email or telephone.
  • Verify data accuracy in orders and invoices.
  • Respond to customer queries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with the Logistics department to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Coordinate stock transfers as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales and customer records.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback internally to support continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a C grade pass in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in a sales administration or customer service role within the steel industry is essential!
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Good level of interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning, organising, and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to make decisions, use initiative, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
