An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a long-established engineering and manufacturing organisation supplying precision-engineered solutions to key sectors within the UK and overseas.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a collaborative design office responsible for delivering structural solutions for lightweight steel-framed buildings. This full-time office-based role offers a salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 and benefits.

They do not offer sponsorship. Candidates with more experience will also be considered

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing structural design projects from initial brief through to technical delivery
  • Producing structural calculations and layouts for medium-rise steel frame buildings
  • Supporting the wider team with project planning and technical documentation
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to communicate design solutions clearly
  • Providing guidance to internal teams on structural, acoustic, fire, and thermal design matters
  • Attending meetings and visiting project sites as required throughout the UK

What we are looking for:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • A strong grasp of structural design principles, ideally with emphasis on steel structures
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD and general IT literacy
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes including BS EN1993 (1-1, 3, 5, 8) and BS EN1991 (1-1, 3, 4) is advantageous
  • Confident communicator able to explain design concepts at all levels
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
