Interventions Teaching Assistant

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

We're looking for a focused and enthusiastic Interventions Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Oldbury. This is a long-term role supporting pupils who need a little extra help to catch up and achieve their potential. Working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, you'll deliver targeted intervention sessions both 1:1 and in small groups.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support pupils with catch-up programmes in reading, writing and maths
- Deliver structured interventions using school resources and guidance
- Track progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
- Motivate and encourage children who need additional academic support
- Work closely with teaching staff to plan and adapt interventions
What We're Looking For:
- A level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or a relevant qualification
- Experience delivering interventions or supporting pupil progress
- Strong grasp of the KS1/KS2 curriculum
- Confident, positive and approachable with excellent communication skills
- Able to build trust and rapport quickly with pupils
