Are you a patient and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a welcoming Oldbury primary school? Join a friendly and inclusive team supporting pupils with additional needs to thrive in their learning and development.
This long-term opportunity is perfect for someone experienced in supporting children with special educational needs in EYFS or Key Stage 1. You'll play a vital part in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and succeed in the classroom.
Your role will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, including autism and speech & language needs
- Assisting the class teacher with tailored lesson delivery and classroom management
- Using strategies and resources to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Supporting personal care needs where necessary
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEN
- Is calm, consistent, and able to follow routines and support plans
- Can work collaboratively with teachers and external professionals
- Has a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Holds a relevant qualification or has school-based experience
