Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, for one of our clients based in Oldbury. As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site, reporting directly into the Maintenance Manager.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site
  • Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs
  • Supporting the day-to-day manufacturing process
  • Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
  • Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Details:

  • Location: Oldbury, Birmingham
  • Salary: 35,000 - 38,000 PA
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  • Prior experience working within Mechanical Maintenance
  • City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering
  • Experience of planned maintenance and continuous improvement
  • Good attention to detail
  • Fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
