Job Title: Production Process Engineer
Location:Birmingham (Own transport is required to travel to additional sites)
Salary:£37,000 £40,000 depending on experience
Working Hours:Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00 or 07:00 to 15:00

Overview:
Our client are looking for a skilled Production Process Engineer to design, optimise, and troubleshoot production processes, ensuring that all operations meet quality standards, performance targets, and safety regulations.
- Key Responsibilities as a Production Process Engineer:
- Monitor key production parameters, analyse data, and troubleshoot process issues to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
- Develop, optimise, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency.
- Work closely with production teams, maintenance, and quality departments to identify areas for improvement and support implementation. Provide training to operators on new processes and best practices.
- Ensure that production processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO certifications.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality, through process optimisation, waste reduction, and equipment performance improvement.
Essential Requirements as a Production Process Engineer:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Production Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the steel or metal processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process control systems, automation, and plant equipment in a production setting.
