The school caters to children with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and medical needs, with class sizes of 8 to 9 children supported by 3 Teaching Assistants.
Candidates must hold QTS status, have knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 curriculum tailored to SEN children, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
A patient and calm nature is essential, along with the ability to adapt planning to individual needs and effectively utilize resources.
The position requires a fully enhanced DBS check, a minimum of two references, and a face-to-face interview, with a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per year and a minimum of 2 years of experience required.

SEND Teacher - Oldbury

Academics are looking for an experienced Teacher who can cover at a special school based in Oldbury on a FULL TIME basis. This school is a maintained Special School for children with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and medical needs. The role would be starting immediately after May half term 2025 until the end of the academic year.

You will have 3 Teaching Assistants in classroom to support you and the class sizes are made up of 8/9 children.

The successful Teacher will:

Hold QTS status and eligibility to work in the UK
Have EYFS/KS1 curriculum knowledge tailored to SEN children
Be able to adapt planning to individual needs
Have strong communication skills
Be flexible around the school working routine
Utilise resources effectively
Be of patient and calm nature
