We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Manufacturingwithin the Pipe Industry based in Oldburythat are looking to expand their workforce and recruiting for a skilled and experienced Multiskilled Machinist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the shop floor using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as appropriate
  • Stage materials for welders according to job orders and production schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks or deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of material storage areas and workstations.
  • Support welders and other trades by fetching tools, consumables, and equipment as required.
  • Communicate with supervisors and welders to prioritize material movement and ensure workflow continuity.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and report shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
  • Able to use basic maths and English skills to complete paperwork and/or work machines e'g band saw.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (training or certification a bonus)
  • Strong awareness of shop safety practices and PPE requirements.
  • Good physical fitness; able to lift and move materials
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of welding or fabrication processes an advantage.

Pay:

13.00/hour

Hours of Work:

08:00 - 16:30
