We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Manufacturingwithin the Pipe Industry based in Oldburythat are looking to expand their workforce and recruiting for a skilled and experienced Multiskilled Machinist.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the shop floor using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as appropriate
- Stage materials for welders according to job orders and production schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks or deliveries as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of material storage areas and workstations.
- Support welders and other trades by fetching tools, consumables, and equipment as required.
- Communicate with supervisors and welders to prioritize material movement and ensure workflow continuity.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and report shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
- Able to use basic maths and English skills to complete paperwork and/or work machines e'g band saw.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (training or certification a bonus)
- Strong awareness of shop safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Good physical fitness; able to lift and move materials
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of welding or fabrication processes an advantage.
Pay:
13.00/hour
Hours of Work:
08:00 - 16:30
