We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Client, a global manufacturer operating a state of the art facility in Oldham. This role is a 6 month contract with the potential to work from home 1 day a week following a short probation period.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Posting monthly journals
  • Fixed asset register maintenance - post depreciation journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Cashflow forecast
  • Aged debtors/creditors reconciliation to general ledger
  • Running month end reports
  • Confirm IC balances - debtors/creditors
  • Account analysis to review and correct postings
  • Review repairs and maintain accounts for Capex
  • Chasing overdue invoices and ensuring timely cash collection
  • Review and update PO prices vs standard costs
  • VAT returns - quarterly reconciliation to VAT control
  • Assist with data entry
  • Assist with tax and year end audit
  • Assisting with ad hoc duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • AAT qualification
  • A keen attitude to learn and develop
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Office-based work experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • A professional, confident, and diplomatic approach to communication
