We are working with a well-established, community-focused Housing Association in Greater Manchester, known for delivering high-quality, affordable homes and outstanding services. With a strong commitment to tenant safety, community investment, and organisational values, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to strengthen their Asset and Property Services team.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Assets, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational delivery of asset management, focusing on stock condition, compliance, and major works projects.


You will be responsible for:

  • Leading operational surveying activities stock condition surveys, disrepair inspections, compliance assessments and cyclical programmes.
  • Managing staff and contractors to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Driving compliance-based performance management to meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Supporting the development of investment plans, using stock data to inform decisions.
  • Championing a resident-focused, value-for-money service across all asset management activities.

What Were Looking For

Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline

Strong technical knowledge of compliance standards (HHSRS, CDM, fire safety, Decent Homes)

Proven experience managing contractors and internal teams

Skilled in performance management with a compliance focus

Collaborative, solutions-focused and aligned to values-based service delivery
