Job Description:Hays Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs. This role involves working closely with teachers to deliver individualised support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they can participate fully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support group and class activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet each student's needs.
  • Help with classroom preparation and organisation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs in English and Maths).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Training in Team Teach, MAPA, Behaviour Management, or Autism Awareness is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and empathy.
