Overview:

On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing organisation in the Oldham and Rochdale area, we are currently recruiting for a professionally qualified Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of a finance function within a supportive and forward-thinking business.



The Role:

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, delivering timely and accurate reporting, and contributing to the company's strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of monthly management accounts, reporting, and analysis

  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and tax obligations

  • Effective cash flow management and financial planning

  • Leading and mentoring a small finance team

  • Providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making

  • Managing the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors

  • Driving process improvements across the finance function



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen

  • Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME or owner-managed business

  • Skilled in financial systems and advanced Excel

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proactive, hands-on, and confident in working autonomously
