Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning, communication, or behavioural needs

  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies set by the SEND team

  • Adapt learning tasks and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement

  • Support the pupil with emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence-building

  • Use positive behaviour support approaches to maintain a calm, safe learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff

  • Monitor and record progress, feeding back observations to teachers and professionals

  • Support the pupil during classroom activities, small groups, transitions, and unstructured times







We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, or communication needs

  • Is patient, nurturing, and able to build positive, trusting relationships

  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

  • Can adapt swiftly to the needs of the pupil and respond with sensitivity

  • Remains calm under pressure and follows safeguarding procedures consistently

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential for the right experience)
