Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 at a secondary school in the Oldham area. This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with students aged 11-16, or a recent graduate looking to gain classroom experience.

  • Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Teaching Assistant Role Overview

  • Provide support to students across KS3 & KS4
  • Assist in a range of classroom activities and small-group interventions
  • Support students with additional needs where required
  • Help maintain a calm and consistent learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents
  • Take part in activities such as exam support and general classroom assistance

Experience, Training & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a secondary school or with young people
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)
  • Prevent, behaviour management, and FGM training (can be provided)

Requirements

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional references covering the last two years
