Douglas Scott are in the market for an Employment Solicitor who is experienced in both Claimant & Respondent work for a long term client who have an office based in OldhamKey Responsibilities:• Provide specialized counsel to both employers and employees on various employment law matters.• Take charge of Employment Tribunal proceedings, handling cases involving unfair dismissal, discrimination (e.g., sex, race, disability), and more.• Oversee matters related to TUPE regulations, redundancy processes, and the transfer of business operations.• Advise on issues surrounding restrictive covenants, breaches of confidentiality, and workplace disputes.• Prepare and review employment contracts and staff handbooks.• Carry out legal research and in-depth analysis to support case development.• Draft legal documents, including court submissions and correspondence.• Engage in discussions and negotiations with opposing legal representatives and relevant parties.• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to create strategic plans that align with client goals.• Actively participate in business development activities to support the firm’s growth.• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.Requirements:• 2 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Employment Law.• Demonstrated expertise in managing Employment Tribunal claims and complex legal matters.• Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and managing client relationships.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and supportive environment.• Proactive in driving business development and marketing strategies.
