We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer professional to contribute to a specialist engineering manufacturer operating within tightly regulated sectors. The position combines hands-on technical responsibility with leadership development, supporting the creation, refinement, and delivery of high-performance mechanical systems used in demanding industrial applications.
This position would suit an ambitious engineer with a strong mechanical background who is has lead teams in highly regulated design environments. It is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is keen to advance their skills while mentoring others within a growing design function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and support the design engineering team to uphold high technical standards.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's product range, applications, and customer needs.
- Design and test mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD tools.
- Produce precise engineering drawings and related documentation for new and existing products.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, manufacturable solutions aligned with industry and regulatory requirements.
In return you'll receive a salary up to 70,000 + an excellent benefits package.
