Job Description:

Major Recruitment are recruiting Production Technicians for our prestigious manufacturing client based in Chadderton, Oldham.

Previous Production / Manufacturing experience is essential to be considered for the role.

Machine Operating or CNC experience is highly desirable.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Operating various Production machines including Cutting, Heat Seaming, Perforating, Slitting and Stitching machines - safely and efficiently
  • Prepare and pack manufactured goods as required including storing in appropriate areas
  • Input the necessary information into the computer system and produce labels as required
  • Inspect product where appropriate and isolate non-conforming products as required
  • Produce and store manufacturing samples for quality purposes
  • Ensure all goods are properly marked, stored and logged on the system
  • Ensure unused raw materials are properly labelled and placed in the designated area
  • Co-ordinate with other departments where appropriate
  • Institute good housekeeping practices and clean areas at all times and ensure that the work area is ready for the next shift
  • Ensure the Company's Health and Safety Policy is adhered to at all times
  • To work within business guidelines and procedures.
  • Notify Production Shift Supervisor / Manager of any Safety Hazards.

Key skills required:

  • Experience within a busy Production environment is desirable.
  • Well organized, confident, self-motivated individual with experience in a similar role
  • Ability to concentrate and pay attention for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • A flexible and adaptable team member

Hourly rate: 13.16 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm rotating weekly (38 hours per week)

Duration: Temporary to permanent
