Are you a confident and adaptable teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)? Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-established PRU in Manchester, supporting students aged 11-16 who are not currently in mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. This is a full-time teaching role available immediately or from September 2025, initially on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.

Your New Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Manage classroom behaviour and support students with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN staff
  • Provide a consistent and structured learning environment for students in alternative provision

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant classroom experience
  • Experience working with secondary school students
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A flexible, calm, and resilient approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
