Job Description: Shift Supervisor

06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Oldham. This role involves managing a team of up to 20 staff per shift, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health and safety requirements are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will act as a key holder, responsible for securing the site and responding to alarm call-outs when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage up to 20 staff per shift to ensure efficient and productive operations.

- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

- Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Â
- Lead, motivate, and support staff, including training and performance management.
Â
- Conduct shift handovers and team briefings to maintain clear communication.
Â
- Manage attendance, shift cover, and any on-shift issues or incidents.
Â
- Act as key holder, responsible for locking up and securing the premises.
Â
- Respond to alarm call-outs and emergencies as required.
Â
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to staff, production, and incidents.
Â
- Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement.
Â
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
Â
- CNC experience is highly desirable.

- Strong leadership and people management skills.
Â
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Â
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.

- Good understanding of manufacturing health and safety standards.
