Paying £12.21 per hour - Our client, a well-established organisation based in Oldham, is seeking a Temporary Finance Assistant to join their finance team for a 8 week + temporary assignment.

Starting on Tuesday the 6th of May, this is a full-time job opportunity working 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break (35 hours per week).

THE JOB

As a Finance Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Invoice and Payment Processing:Verifying invoice accuracy, submitting through portals, processing debits/credits/invoices, managing concession billing, and handling card payments.

Customer Account Management:Resolving queries, managing shortage and pricing claims, following up on debit notes, and liaising with customers regularly.

Documentation and Data Handling:Uploading and sending PODs, exporting financial data into Excel, and allocating payments accordingly.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

You will need:

  • Previous experience working within a finance or accounts support role in credit control or accounts receivable
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work on-site full-time and commute to Oldham
