Overview- Sheet metal worker
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with various metals, including sheet metal, and possess the ability to fabricate, assemble, and weld components to meet precise specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties-Sheet metal worker
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate hand tools and machinery for cutting, grinding, and welding metal materials.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Skills-Sheet metal worker
- Proficient in working with sheet metal and understanding its properties.
- Experience with tooling and the ability to operate various hand tools effectively.
- Strong welding skills with knowledge of different welding techniques.
- Ability to grind and finish metal surfaces to achieve desired results.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge that aids in understanding machinery operation and maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
