We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our experienced Children’s Safeguarding team in Oldham. This crucial role involves delivering effective services that promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at various stages of their journey. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing interventions to safeguard children and support families.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work within a team of experienced professionals to deliver high-quality safeguarding services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and plan strategic interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Implement safeguarding plans effectively, working closely with families and other professionals.
  • Provide support and guidance to families, helping them to improve their circumstances and outcomes for children.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with legal and organisational requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A recognised qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children’s safeguarding within a social work context.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative framework relating to child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
