Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and supportive school in Oldham. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN who is looking for a rewarding and long-term role.

The Role:
You will be providing 1:1 and small group support both inside and outside the classroom, helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop social and communication skills. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure individual needs are met through tailored support.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
A Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable

Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, or SEMH

A calm, resilient, and patient approach is essential

Up-to-date Safeguarding training is desirable (can be provided if needed)

Hold the Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Provide two professional references related to working with children
