Are you a talented and motivated chef looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a busy kitchen team? We are seeking a Head Chef to join a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant with additional corporate and event catering. This role is perfect for an experienced head chef or an ambitious sous chef ready to step up.

About the Business:
Our client is a popular activities and wedding venue on the outskirts of Oldmeldrum, offering year-round restaurant service seven days a week. The venue serves breakfast, lunch, coffee, and cakes, and also caters for corporate events and occasional weddings or evening functions. The kitchen is busy, dynamic, and looking for someone with energy, creativity, and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Prepare and cook traditional Scottish dishes alongside seasonal specials, including game, while being open to introducing fresh ideas

  • Assist with menu planning and development

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and health & safety in the kitchen

  • Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen inventory efficiently

  • Support catering for corporate events, weddings, and evening functions

  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen setting

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Hardworking, reliable, and able to work under pressure

  • Can-do attitude with flexibility for occasional evening work

  • Full UK driving licence essential

Hours:

  • Primarily day shifts during weekdays and weekends

  • Occasional evenings throughout the year depending on events
